A ten day album challenge has been nominated to me and they will be listed in order from day one to day ten. There will be a brief description of the albums and why I chose them.

Glass Houses is the seventh studio album by American singer-songwriter Billy Joel, released on March 12, 1980.
This was the first album that I would start listening to in most of its entirety. Billy Joel was a big influence to me while growing up and I still enjoy his music as much as I did back then.

Glass Houses by Billy Joel
Chronicle, Vol. 1, also known as Chronicle: The 20 Greatest Hits, is a greatest hits album by the American swamp rock band Creedence Clearwater Revival. It was released in January 1976.
John Fogerty was a huge influence while I was growing up and there were countless times when I would be listening to this whole album. There is also a volume two which has 20 more songs of theirs on it.

Chronicle, Vol. 1 by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Vs. is the second studio album by American rock band Pearl Jam, released on October 19, 1993.
This album is on my list just because there were many times I would listen to and enjoy it. Pearl Jam was not really much of a direct influence, but the Vs. album had some pretty good songs.

Purple is the second studio album by the American rock band Stone Temple Pilots, released on June 7, 1994.
This album was at a time when I would actually get to go to my first "real" concert. I enjoyed this album thoroughly when I was younger and listened to it many times.

Purple by Stone Temple Pilots
No More Tears is the sixth solo studio album by English heavy metal vocalist Ozzy Osbourne, released on September 17, 1991.
I was a big fan of Ozzy's music growing up and I still am. I even find Black Sabbath songs I don't remember hearing before and think they're really good. The No More Tears album was one I could listen to all the way through and hardly ever skip tracks.

This album was a gift at the time I was starting to get familiar with the band. The Who were to become one of my favorites of all time and they have great songs that aren't on this album.

The Ultimate Collection is a 3-disc compilation album by the Canadian rock band The Guess Who, released in 1997.
I picked out this ultimate collection album because I was really getting into The Guess Who at the time. I am particularly fond of the second disc, which had songs I never heard before, and would end up listening to it quite often.

I bought this album after hearing one of their songs and decided to get their first album. The raw power and energy from Rage Against the Machine would end up having a huge impact and reshape the way I looked at music

It wouldn't be an album challenge to me without deciding which Led Zeppelin album to choose from. After much consideration, I would have to pick Physical Graffiti. They're all good and have great songs on them, but I probably listened to this one the most.

Everyone has their favorite album for different reasons. This one is at the top of my list because I haven't heard an album like it to have so much diversity in the sum of its parts. Well that's just one reason.
